The Beginning
Care Access was founded in 2017 in Thessaloniki by two enthusiastic and experienced professionals in the field of healthcare and medical devices, with the aim of providing innovative, reliable and quality solutions to the medical community.
Care Access invests in long-term relationships with its partners and brings to Greece some of the most well-known brands in the industry.
It is a fast-growing company that works with the majority of the country’s private healthcare providers and maintains excellent relationships with the industry’s professionals globally.

Who we are
Georgios Alexandros Samatidis
I am a Graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Economics, with a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and specialization in Management and Financial Management of Healthcare Services Providers of the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki.
During the period 2008 – 2012, I worked as an executive in the procurement department of Euromedica S.A. at the headquarters in Northern Greece, where I came in contact for the first time with medical devices. It was then that I realized the significance of quality and innovation, combined with the need for reliable partners - distributors.
From 2012 to 2017, I was the International Sales and Business Development Manager at Sidapharm, which is a company active in the production and distribution of ophthalmic medical devices. This experience was the foundation of my current extensive network of contacts with industry professionals from Greece and abroad.
In November 2017 I decided that it was time to take the next step and start a new company with Rafaela Smaragda Papadopoulou that will provide innovative, reliable and quality solutions to our partners.
Rafaela Smaragda Papadopoulou
I graduated from the Department of Sociology (BSc in Sociology) at Kingston University in UK with a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management (MSc in Human Resource Management) at Surrey University in UK.
My activity in healthcare started in 2008 in Euromedica S.A. where I initially worked as Human Resources Director.
From 2011 – 2016, I was Head of the company’s Medical Tourism Department which was responsible for the hospitalization of more than 1,700 war wounded Libyan patients.
As part of my involvement with Medical Tourism, in 2016 I attended a specialization program of the American Medical Tourism Association in Washington DC, USA from which, I successfully obtained the Certification of Medical Tourism Professional.
In 2016 I was appointed Marketing Director of the Group and from 2017 until 2019 I was promoted to “Kyanos Stavros Multi Specialty Hospital” as the Hospital’s Managing Director.
During my time in the hospital I had the opportunity to acquire experience working with distributors and suppliers of medical devices, equipment and pharmaceuticals.
My wide range of experience and spectrum in different areas in Healthcare industry led me to take the next step in September 2019 and join George Alexander Samatidis in our company, Care Access.

Through our partnerships with the leading manufacturers of medical devices in Europe and the USA, our aim is to provide reliable, innovative and quality solutions to our customers, so that they in turn will offer to their patients the best solution to obtain the optimal vision.

Quality
Quality is a fundamental part of the company’s every day function and is applied in all levels within the company.
The selection of the company's suppliers is based on strict criteria and control of compliance with best practices for the production and distribution of medical devices.
In this context, all the company's suppliers have already received or are expected to receive in the near future the MDR (Medical Devices Regulation) Certification for their goods, which is currently the strictest EU directive within the European Union for medical devices.
Care Access is certified by ISO 9001 for Total Quality Management which is applied in the company and by Ministerial Decision 1348 for following best practice in medical devices distribution.

In the shadow of the catastrophic fires in North Evia, where hundreds of our fellow citizens lost their properties, and their lives were endangered, our company in collaboration with the Liafarm Stroumsas Pharmaceutical Group of Companies, sent medical supplies to the Municipality of Mantoudi – Lake – Agia Anna
